No essay this week. I have the great pleasure of experiencing a family reunion of sorts in this very moment. Posting from afar, it was important you knew good things, really good things are going on right now.
Though we Humans are adaptable to nearly every environment on the Planet, we all yearn for the touch, the hug and the twinkle in the eye from those who love us and know us best. So take some comfort in joining me outside tonight when I lay back on the grass, put my hands behind my head and look up into the nighttime sky.
There are going to be thousands of stars I don’t normally see. Sky in the country is different than urban sky and that’s truest at night. While I take confidence in knowing (scientifically) each one of them is always there whether I can see them or not, I’m still going to do my part and count to be sure. And, knowing me as I do, I also anticipate losing count somewhere around 34,385 and having to start over. 1, 2, 3…this could take hours (ha!). While I reset, please know there’s no place I’d rather be tonight than right here.
Be well. Celebrate my joy as yours as you’ve so generously done for me. As you travel, please be as kind as you are clever. See you next week.
I know I gifted you with Loggins recently, but indulge me again. CLICK THE PIC and enjoy a track that could be taken verbatim from my Soul in this very moment. While often associated with the holidays, I can think of no better holiday than the one I’m experiencing right now. If you have a minute, you are always (in this place) encouraged to sing along. I am so full right now, in all the right ways.
Dan. Out.

Thank you. Sometimes long in coming, but it was all I hoped it needed to be. Travel well.
