Words can be powerful. Anyone with a passion for the pen understands that weaving words together into thoughts that might, just might, stand a chance of making a positive inroad somewhere is no light work.
But the words themselves? Just words.
By the nature of the medium, blogging routinely entrusts words to serve as our burros; each charged with the task of delivering some measure of good…this little light of mine… If you know the childrens song at all, you know what comes next. The call to do good, meeting with the literal event of making it so. And sometimes, if we’re very lucky, the meeting leaves us without any more words. In those moments I think we’re closest to everything that really matters.
So enough with the words. I close out this year of the blogging experiment by sharing images worth so much more than a thousand words each.
Without being hokey, I am blessed to be able to honestly wish you and Yours all the very best for what is about to unfold around all of us in 2014.
Shine on, fellow hiker, shine on.
